I love books. Am trying this website out after hearing about the mass exodus out of Goodreads.

A Woman Worth Ten Coppers - Morgan Howell It was enjoyable.
Feed - Mira Grant Pretty good, pretty good
The Iron King - Julie Kagawa This was really good. Really, suprisingly good. I will be awaiting the next one.
Warm Bodies - Isaac Marion So I watched the Movie yesterday, and read the book today out of curiosity. It was okay, but I liked the movie better, suprisingly...
Cinder - Marissa Meyer So, I read this as I had heard lots of love for it. Finished it in about 18 hours, icluding sleep. It was quite short, in my opinion.

I thought it was decent. I like fairy tale retellings, and that the series will keep on going with this theme amuses me.

However, the story in and of itself was nothing special.

I enjoyed the setting though. This Earth/Moon/cyborg mixture is the most interesting thing about the book.
Minoes - Annie M.G. Schmidt, Carl Hollander I lived in the Netherlands once, and recieved this a gift. I had learned part of the language, but sadly this was still out of my grasp to really enjoy it.
World Without End - Ken Follett oooo, I really liked this book.
The 3-Day Cleanse: Your BluePrint for Fresh Juice, Real Food, and a Total Body Reset - 'Zoe Sakoutis', 'Erica Huss' Won it!
The Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan Meh. It's not my age range.

I'd like it as a 12 year old!
Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned: Stories - Wells Tower It was well written! The short stories are just not my cup of tea. I'm more of a high-flying fantasy adventure type of girl. But, well worth a free read! :)
The Pirate Vortex - Deborah Cannon Okay, so.

If you read this book, you won't read it for the literary genius, or the fact that it'll win a Newbery Medal, because, frankly, it won't.

You will read it for the same reason you watched "Snakes on a Plane"; or ate the extra carton of bubble-gum flavored ice cream, even though you're on a diet; or you secretly danced to your old Spice Girls CD.

You read it because it's fun.

It's not written for contests, or to win anything; it's written to bring the tiniest bit more cheesy enjoyment into your life. Even if you don't admit it.
The Lady Queen: The Notorious Reign of Joanna I, Queen of Naples, Jerusalem, and Sicily - Nancy Goldstone I won a copy. Can't wait to read it.

Edit: So, I read the book. I thought it was quite interesting! I hadn't heard of the queen beforehand, so I liked the chance to explore another facet of history. And its set in one of those 'ages' (generalization, I know, bear with me) that I always find FASCINATING. The book itself was a little dry, but for a free read, well worth the trouble.
Kelly's Chance (Brides of Lehigh Canal) - Wanda E Brunstetter I won this, so 'yay' for that.

Honestly though, I didn't really enjoy it all that much though... Sorry! but it was sorta boring...

EDIT: Re-read it. Here's the skinny on why I didn't think much of this book:

The author did the whole "told, not shown" bit. I was TOLD Kelly and Mike liked each other. I was TOLD that her dad was mean and didn't think much of her painting. I was TOLD of the 'annoyingness' of that other girl. I wasn't SHOWN anything. There was not enough description, I think. Fleshing out how or why or who did what. That is what is missing, in my opinion.
The Queen's Fool - Philippa Gregory I liked this book. Not as much as some of the others by Ms. Gregory, but it was a good read.
The Sayings of the Desert Fathers: The Alphabetical Collection (Cistercian studies 59) - Benedicta Ward, Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom) of Sourozh I have read parts of this book. I consider it one of my favorites because it is one of the favorites of my father. This book reminds me of him a little. :)
Firebirds: An Anthology of Original Fantasy and Science Fiction - Nancy Springer, Delia Sherman, Laurel Winter, Elizabeth Wein, Emma Bull, Meredith Ann Pierce, Sharyn November, Megan Whalen Turner, Sherwood Smith, Kara Dalkey, Nina Kiriki Hoffman, Lloyd Alexander, Diana Wynne Jones, Nancy Farmer, Michael Cadnum, Garth Nix, Charles Vess Gaaaah, I love these Firebird anthologies!!!!

They are so good, and SO MUCH FUN to read!
